A Place Of Higher Learning For Your Marriage

 Married for over 30 years, we're the proud parents of four adult daughters, an awesome son-in-law, and the grandparents of three beautiful grandchildren. Throughout every season of marriage and family life, we've experienced moments that required us to choose faith over feelings, grace over pride, and commitment over convenience. Along the way, God has used every season—both the beautiful and the difficult—to renew our hearts, strengthen our covenant, deepen our dependence on Him, and teach us what it truly means to honor our vows. 

One of those seasons included Johnnie's battle with pornography addiction—a struggle that deeply impacted our marriage and required honesty, repentance, forgiveness, accountability, and God's healing power. What the enemy intended to destroy, God redeemed. By His grace, we experienced restoration, rebuilt trust, and a deeper understanding that true freedom is possible when Christ is at the center. Today, that testimony allows us to walk alongside individuals and couples with compassion, authenticity, and hope.

Another one of the most life-changing chapters of our journey came when Paula was diagnosed with Stage III breast cancer. What followed was a season of surgeries, treatments, uncertainty, and recovery. Through it all, we experienced God's faithfulness in ways we never imagined. That season didn't just strengthen our faith—it transformed our perspective on marriage, purpose, healing, and the power of honoring our vows through life's hardest moments together.

As ordained ministers, marriage coaches, and lifelong students of both God's Word and human behavior, we've spent more than two decades helping couples strengthen their relationships through biblical principles and practical application. But our greatest qualification isn't simply what we've studied, it's what God has faithfully walked us through.

Married University was born from a desire to help couples experience more than relationship advice. We've discovered that while many couples know how to plan a wedding, very few have been taught how to build a marriage. A wedding lasts a day, but a marriage is built over a lifetime. That's why we're passionate about equipping husbands and wives with the biblical principles, practical tools, and Christ-centered foundation needed to build a marriage that honors God. ~Luke 6:46-49~
